Deeply colored. Aromas of blackberry compote and muddled black cherry are joined by nuances of cacao nib, mulling spice, and freshly milled espresso. It is full-bodied, deep and dense, with a refined, tannic structure that evolves into a long finish of ripe black fruit and iron. Without knowing better this can be easily mistaken for a Cab-blend commanding over $100.
